Patson Daka donates to Pataaki
Zambia National Team striker Patson Daka has donated soccer jerseys and match balls to FAZ Lusaka Province Women’s League side Pataaki Girls and also their Boys’ Team.
The Red Bull Salzburg red-hot striker Daka who won the 2020/21 Austrian player of the Season and the top goalscorer award extended his kind gesture to the Stubborn Girls and Boys to help in contributing to the development of Zambian Football.
This is the second time the 2017 CAF young player of the year is visiting Pataaki Football Club because he did the same last year in July where he donated a soccer ball and goalkeeper’s gloves and also encouraged the team to work hard.
Speaking during the donation, Daka yet again encouraged the team to believe in themselves as that is the key to success.
“Everyone wants to succeed, but only those who truly believe they are going to succeed have a chance. Believe in you,” Daka said.
Meanwhile, Pataaki Coach Patrick Luwe Phiri was very delighted to have received the donation on behalf of the team and mentioned that the most important thing was the value of Daka’s visit and appreciated him for taking the time to have a great moment with the young upcoming players.
“The donation made by Patson will be something that we will keep very close to our hearts and value a lot all the time,” Phiri told the ZamFoot Crew.
“The most important thing wasn’t about the donation but the fact he found time away from his busy schedule to come down and have some words with the young ones that were the most important thing to us,” Phiri added.
Pataaki Girls are currently occupying the third position on the log standings with 33 points from 15 games, winning 10, drawing 3, and losing 2, going into the next round match this weekend against NAPSA Queens in week 16 encounter.
