Patson Daka and Enock Mwepu out to help Salzburg complete title defense
The Zambian duo will be in action again this afternoon when Redbull Salzburg host TSV Hartberg at the Redbull Arena.
Patson Daka will be aiming to get back on the score sheet after failing to score in the last three games. Daka has managed 23 goals in the league but he is three shy of leading goalscorer Shon Zalman Weissman of Wolfsberger AC.
However, Hartberg is the 2017 CAF young player of the years’ favorite victim having netted six goals against Markus Schopp’s men in the last three games including a hat-trick three weeks ago.
His compatriot, Enock Mwepu will also likely start in midfield and will be looking to continue from where he left off in midweek when he netted in the 7-2 demolition of Rapid Wien.
In the last meeting between the two sides, Mwepu scored a brilliant solo goal and chipped in with an assist, setting up Noah Okafor with his famous Ninkumona pass.
A win for Salzburg will complete their title defense as they lead the log with 41 points, eight above second-placed LASK Linz with just three games to go.
The title will be Salzburg’s seventh consecutive Austrian Bundesliga title and 14th title in total.
