Patson Daka and Enock Mwepu donate training kit to Kafue Celtic

The Austrian based Zambia national team duo yesterday donated training kit to their former club Kafue Celtic.

Patson Daka handed over a set of 100 jerseys to the Crocs proprietor and club President Lee Kawanu on behalf of Enock and himself.

A proud Kawanu thanked the duo for the gesture. He went on to reiterate that Patson and Enock are an example of what his team strives to teach players on and off the field.

“On behalf of the Crocs, thank you so much Enock and Patson. The team and I really appreciate this wonderful gesture from both of you. You are true examples of what we try to teach all our players at Kafue Celtic FC both on and off the pitch. May you continue being blessed in all areas of your lives,” Kawanu said.

Patson Daka also took to Twitter to urge the club to continue producing top talent. Daka is confident Tony Mundia, Albert Kangwanda, and Francisco Mwepu are the next crop of stars that will come out of the Celtic ‘bakery’.

The duo is currently on holiday in Zambia after a successful season wiisRedbull Salzburg winning the league and Austrian Cup.

The 2017 CAF young player of the year played a total of 45 games for Salzburg in the just-ended season scoring 27 goals and providing 12 assists.

And when he scored his second goal against TSV Hartberg last month, Daka became the first Zambian to score 20 league goals or more for a European club surpassing Mwape Miti’s 19 goals scored in the 2003/04 season for Danish side Odense Boldklub.

Mwepu was also an influential figure in the middle of the park for Jesse Marsch’s men scoring five goals and making seven assists in 36 matches.
