Chipolopolo Boys coach Wedson Nyirenda has said midfielder Misheck Chaila is out of the CHAN squad.
The Zesco United midfielder picked up a knee injury during the team’s 5-day training camp in Mongu.
Addressing the press before the team’ s Wednesday afternoon training session at Nkoloma Stadium, Nyirenda also said his team is almost ready.
“We are almost there, in these few days we will be ready. I can say we are at 85 to 90% ready. We want to go there and win the cup that is what we want to do,” he said.
“Everyone is looking good except one injury with Mischeck Chaila who has not been training because of his right knee. I think he is out but the Doctors will make the final decision,” he said.
The team is expected to leave for North Africa by the end of the week.
Zambia will open their Group B fixture against Uganda before a tricky tie against Ivory Coast.
The will wrap it against Namibia.
Oh thats great news that 85% ready. Too bad to Chaila anyway next time man. Has the coach submitted the final list to CAF?
