Numba notes an improvement in the Bankers draw away at Lumwana
Sensational Zanaco Football Club was held to a 1-1 draw by Lumwana Radiants in a rescheduled week 10 MTN/FAZ Super League match played at Lumwana grounds on Saturday.
The draw came on the back of a disappointing 3-0 loss to Power Dynamos in a midweek. Head Coach Numba Mumamba is happy with his team’s performance despite conceding an early goal.
“Much improvement in today’s game the team has Shown good character in this game and that is what we expect from a team like us and we did what we could though out striking force didn’t do much in this game after the introduction of okutu we looked much better its unfortunate that we couldn’t get a winning goal but the attitude from the team was excellent,” he said.
“We conceded that goal due to poor marking that is what happened because if Taonga had positioned himself properly we would have Disturbed the goal scorer but those things happen in Football we can not cry over it especially when we are defending because that is how we Conceded a goal,” he added.
Mumamba added that his side needs to up there game if they want to be title Contenders and that focus will now shift to the upcoming fixtures.
“We just have to up our game for us to start catching up with our Competitors in the Top four especially as we go into the next game we need to everything possible so that we collect maximum points.”
Zanaco is currently sitting on the 14th position with just twelve points to their name after ten rounds of matches played so far this season.
