Nkwazi Midfielder Steven Mutama extends contract at Imboela to 2021
Nkwazi Football Club midfielder Steven Mutama has extended his contract with the Lusaka based Super League club which will see him stay at the club until 2021.
Mutama has been putting up man of the match performances for the Police sponsored side doing so in more than three Super League matches despite the team not picking up wins.
According to a media statement released by the club, Mutama says he has decided to extend his contract because he loves the club and wants to help push the team to a different level.
“I love the team and I want to push the club to a different level. I feel at home here,” Mutama said.
Mutama said staying at Nkwazi will help him mature into a good player stressing that he is learning experienced players like Sebastian Mwansa and William Njobvu.
“Staying here will help me grow in terms of football. We have a young side and some few players that have been around and I want to learn from them, for example,e Sebastian Mwansa, William Njobvu to mention but a few,” he said.
Nkwazi’s next encounter is a rescheduled Week 11 encounter against Lusaka Dynamos on Wednesday at the Edwin Imboela Stadium.
