Nkana FC today wound up their week long endurance training camp in the sand of Mongu with two friendly matches against fellow Super Division outfit Napsa Stars who they beat 4-2 and 2-1.
Coach Beston Chambeshi gave a run to all his players and played the team’s new acquisitions in the first match with only Simon Bwalya as the most recognisable face in the starting XI.
The team did not disappoint as they cruised to victory with goals from Simon Bwalya Harrison Musonda, Ronald Chibwe and Mushili Chanda.
Napsa pulled two goals back through Abraham Masiye.
In the second game, Nkana fielded what seemed to be their stars with former Napsa Stars keeper Scott Ngokene starting in goal, former Power Dynamos strongman Kamuzati Kabwe starting in defence while another Power Dynamos castaway Felix Nyaende partnered Congolese Djunese Kanda and Josephat Kasusu in a three pronged attack.
Midfielder Claude Bwalya opened the scores while Kanda added a second from the spot before Napsa pulled one back.
The games were played at the Mongu stadium.
Nkana are expected to leave Mongu tomorrow.
