Nkana to host Charity Shield final
THE Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndhlovu Charity Shield final between Zesco United and Power Dynamos will be staged at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe this Saturday.
“Had Zanaco managed to make it to the final, the final could have been played in Lusaka because Zanaco travelled to Kitwe for the semi-finals. We have two Copperbelt based teams in the final and it will be costly for the two teams to travel to Lusaka because the Charity Shield has no sponsors,”
Football Association of Zambia vice-president Boniface Mwamelo said in Kitwe yesterday.
To get to the final, Zesco edged Nkana 5-4 on penalties after settling for a 1-1 draw in regulation time while Power overcame Zanaco 1-0.
Mwamelo also announced that VIP tickets will cost K150, grand stand K100 and open wing K20.
