ND1: Kansanshi maintain unbeaten run as Kafue Celtic condemn Mighty Mufulira to a fourth defeat of the season
Kansanshi Dynamos have maintained their lead at the summit of the Eden University National Division One following a 1-0 win while legendary Mighty Mufulira Wanderers and Chambishi suffered defeats.
Kansanshi Dynamos who are still unbeaten as of week 11 edged Trident FC 1-0 thanks to an Eric Yema penalty to claim the bragging rights to North Western Province. The Mabanga Boys have 23 points from 11 games played so far.
At OYDC, Kafue Celtic put up a fantastic performance to beat 9-time Super League Champions, Mighty Mufulira Wanderers 3-1. Maxwell Mukutula scored a hat-trick for the Crocs while Pheuzzy Chilandula scored a face-saver for Wanderers.
Malaiti Rangers and MUZA played out to a 1-1 draw as Welcome Mulenga canceled out Jimmy ‘Zobrigo’ Mukeya’s goal to make sure the two teams shared spoils.
Kashikishi Warriors picked up only their second win of the season while goals from Konga Friday and Mangani Phiri handed Brave Nchanga Rangers a 2-0 win over Police College.
City of Lusaka and Livingstone Pirates edged National Assembly and Chambishi respectively by a 1-0 scoreline. City of Lusaka moves into third place with 22 points same as Second-placed Kafue Celtic who have a better goal difference.
A Victor Mubanga brace condemned KYSA to their fifth defeat of the season while former Zambia U-20 national team midfielder Chanda Mukuka scored the only goal of the game as Gomes beat Mpulungu Harbour 1-0.
