National Division Promotion playoffs off to great start
FAZ/Eden University National Division One promotion playoffs kicked off this afternoon in Lusaka with the ten Provincial Champions battling it out for four places.
In group A, Southern Province Champions Livingstone Pirates squared off with Blessings Football club from Central Province who they thrashed 3-0 in an early kick-off at Police College Ground thanks to a brace from Poniso Lisali and a goal from Bornface Moono.
In the second match of the day, Petauke United beat Malalo Police by a lone goal to start their campaign on a winning note.
In group B played at Miller ground, Luapula Province Champions Kashikishi Warriors beat Real Nakonde 2-1 while Konkola Blades beat Trident 4-3 on post-match penalties following a goalless draw.
Tomorrow at Police College Malalo Police will look to get their first win when they square off with Lusaka Province City of Lusaka in an early kick-off while Livingstone Pirates faces Petauke United.
At Miller Ground, Luena Buffaloes will battle it out Real Nakonde before Kashikishi Warriors can face off with Konkola Blades
