Zambia Super League side, NAPSA Stars has confirmed the acquisition of former Zesco United duo of defender David Owino and midfielder Enock Sabumukama.
Owino has penned a two-year deal while Sabumukama has penned a three year deal with the Pensioners. The club confirmed the development in a press statement by Media and Public Relations officer Gwen Mulundu Chipasula and made available to the ZamFoot Crew.
“NAPSA Stars Football Club is delighted to announce that the club has beefed up its squad with the inclusion of two players. The club has signed former Zesco United players in Enock Sabumukama and David Owino Odhiambo who are attacking midfielder and central defender respectively.
Sabumukama, Burundian, has penned a three-year deal while Kenyan national Odhiambo has signed for two years.”
Technical Director/ General Manager Mr. Honor Janza believes the duo has the necessary experience to help the club both in the league and the CAF Confederation Cup.
“We are more than excited to have these two on board because we have no doubt they come in with experience to help us both in the league and continental competition,”. Mr. Janza said.
Meanwhile, the club has loaned out midfielder Kapembwa Musonda to Buildcon for one year. The Pensioners have also announced that it has parted ways with defenders Dennis Dauda, Keegan Zulu, Smart Banda, Stephen Phiri, midfielder John Sikaumbwe and striker Andrew Tololwa.
