NAPSA STARS COACH AND OFFICIAL TO APPEAR BEFORE FAZ DISCIPLINARY AND ETHICS COMMITTEE RESPECTIVELY

Napsa Stars logistics manager Gift Chaipa and head coach Muhammad Fathi to appear before the disciplinary committee.

According to letter dated Tuesday, March 24th from FAZ to Napsa Stars accessed by the ZamFoot Crew, The duo displayed inappropriate conduct when they harassed and intimidated match officials during Napsa Stars 2-1 win over Green Eagles away at Independence Stadium in Choma.

Chaipa is also being charged with unethical and disloyal conduct after he allegedly openly aided and abetted non-members of the Football Association of Zambia to take the Association to court in direct contravention of the FAZ Constitution and FIFA statutes.

“Messrs Mohammed and Chaipa are being charged under article 98 of the disciplinary code of the Football Association of Zambia with intimidating match officials and interfering with the performance of their duties before and during the match Green Eagles vs Napsa stars held on 7th March 2020 at the Independence Stadium in Choma and will appeal before the disciplinary committee.”

“Mr. Gift Chaipa on 12th March 2020 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, by associating with a banned individual Mr. Damiano Mutale contravened article 13(h), and by aiding and abetting the same banned individual in initiating a court action in direct contravention of article 63 of the FAZ Constitution, when he attempted to serve a court order instigated against FAZ by Messrs Damiano Mutale and Peter Lusaka, both of whom are neither members or affiliates of FAZ, to various FAZ officials including the registrar, the General Secretary and the Head of the Elections Committee acted in an unethical and disloyal manner contrary to article 13(i) of the FAZ Constitution.”

The disloyal and unethical actions of Mr. Chaipa breached articles 13 and 15 of the 2018 FIFA code of ethics and hence the Association has referred the case to the ethics committee for prosecution.
