NAPSA defender named Zamfoot player of the week

The MTN/FAZ Super League fixtures for week eleven came with alot of interesting results as it saw NAPSA stars win their first match of the season. The Zamfoot crew have also returned with another of the now very popular team of the week.

In goal Ken Mumba of Red Arrows have been given the node ahead of Philip Banda of NAPSA stars who equally had a fantastic game. Mumba kept a clean sheet despite Lusaka dynamos numerous attempts at goal.

RB-Alex Mwamba of NAPSA stars gave a another impressive performance which has become the order of the day with him and was on hand to score the goal that earned NAPSA stars their first three points of the season.

LB-Mwelwa Sakala of power dynamos has continued to put in impressive performances week in week out and over the weekend he did the same. Sakala provided a teal threat going forward and was composed when defending.

CB-Derick Mwansa of Red Arrows had a busy afternoon on Sunday against the defending top goalscorer Chris Mugalu but the former Nkana defender did a fantastic job to ensure Arrows kept a clean sheet with some very good interceptions and clearances.

CB-Faustin Bokadila of Power dynamos is probably the best defensive buy of the last transfer window. The Congolese defender put in an good sheet as Power Dynamos put Nchanga Rangers to sword.

CM-Godfrey Ngwenya another Power Dynamos player who had a fantastic game. The former Kabwe warriors player scored and assisted another as Power beat Rangers by three goals to one.

RW -Davy Kalandanya The Nkwazi speedy winger terrorised Green Eagles Collins Mulenga and scored one of the goals for Nkwazi. The former Konkola Blades player managed to even win over the opponents fans and had to pose for photos with the fans who were impressed by his game on the day.

LW- Diamond Chikwekwe The Green Buffaloes quick midfielder was a thorn in Nkana’s defense and put the army side ahead at Chilata just after a minute of action.

AMF-Yourember banda the former NAPSA stars attacking midfielder gave Nkana a tough time contributing to Buffaloes two nil win over the Wusakile based side.

CF-Idris Mbombo, The Congolese striker scored his seven goal of the season and despite Nkana losing he was a constant threat the entire time he was on the pitch.

CF- Joseph Phiri, The Red Arrows youngsters scored a scorcher to earn Arrows three points and gave the Lusaka dynamos central defence pairing a tough time the entire ninety minutes.

Coach of the week – Honor Janza beat off competition from Elijah Chikwanda and Chris Kaunda to win the coach of the week. Janza masterminded the down fall of Lusaka Dynamos who were ranked way higher than his Red Arrows.

Player of the week – Alex Mwamba of NAPSA stars becomes the first defender to be named player of the week this year after he won NAPSA stars their first three points of the season and had an impressive overall showing on the day.

  1. Beautiful report Zamfoot. This Youremember boy seems to be quite talented also happy to see a defender get the player of the week. That must have been a very great display.
