NAPSA ADHERE TO FAZ DIRECTIVE ON SUSPENDING GROUP TRAINING AS FATHI URGES GENERAL PUBLIC TO FOLLOW WHO GUIDELINES
Napsa Stars have adhered to the Football Association of Zambia’s directive to clubs to cancel their group training sessions due to concerns over the current worldwide outbreak of the deadly Coronavirus.
Head coach Mohammed Fathi says it’s important to follow such directives as it is a sure way of stopping the spread of the virus.
“We have followed the directive from relevant authorities instructing us to stop training due to concerns about Covid-19,” he said.
“It is important to follow these guidelines because it is one sure way of quickly fighting the pandemic and ensuring that we get back to work soon,” he added.
Fathi has also appealed to its fans and the general public to adhere to the Mistry of Health and World Health Organization guidelines.
“My technical bench and I are in constant contact with our players to make sure that they are taking good care of themselves because we still have unfinished business to do as a team after the coronavirus fight,” he said.
“I am also appealing to our fans, their families and every citizen to follow the World Health Organization’s guidelines which includes washing your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds and using alcohol-based hand sanitizers.”
The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) on Thursday, directed clubs to suspend group training sessions following measures announced by Republican President His Excellency Edgar Chagwa Lungu around the response to the covid-19 to ensure that steps to help towards combating the pandemic are taken.
