The Chipolopolo Boys gave a spirited performance to clinch the Cosafa Cup for the sixth time.

Below the ZamFoot Crew takes a look at how the players rated.

Charles Kalumba -8- Spread his body to deny a Namibian forward from close range to keep Zambia in the game. Marked his competitive international debut with a winners debut.

Benedict Chepeshi -7- The skipper was game and led by example. He had a good tournament.

Luka Chamanga -6- Did relatively well. Picked up an injury and was replaced.

Dominic Chanda -7- His best game at the Cosafa. He was up for the challenge.

Allan Kapila -7- Grew in stature as the game progressed. Third cap with a winners defender.

Spencer Sautu -6.2- The prince of Choma didn’t offer much going forward. Didn’t finish the match.

Kelvin Kapumbu -5- looked lost on the pitch. It was his fault but just lacked the tactical know how.

When Saddam Yusuf Phiri dropped, he needed to move up to create space in midfield.

Saddam Yusuf Phiri -8.5- Zambia has been crying out for a controlling midfield and Saddam, the country has one.

Pure class from the Red Arrows man on his first full cap. ZamFoot Crew’s Man of the match.

Joshua ‘Budo’ Mutale -8.2- Fearless, energetic and skillful. Next stage for his development is to know when to play simple and make marauding runs.

Is he the new Johnstone ‘One man commando’ Bwalya?

He was voted as the official man of the match.

Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba – 6.8- Tightly marked by the Warriors defenders after his exploits in the demolition of Senegal.

Voted MVP for the tournament.

Ricky Banda – 6.5- The supply lines were cut off as he was starved of the ball.

Substitutes

Albert Kangwanda -8.3- Came on for the injured Spencer Sautu in the first half. Had a slow start but settling down, he became Zambia’s main threat upfront.

Scored the superb curler to earn Zambia victory.

Patrick Gondwe -7- had an impact when he came on as he complicated Budo and Saddam in midfield.

Prosper Chiluya -7- game the team more stability at left back.

Jimmy Mukeya -6.5- Worked had for the team as a lone striker.

Aljosa Asanovic – 8- Finally he looked like an expatriate coach.

The starting line up and substutions were spot on. No need to carry underperforming players
