Mwepu nominated for Salzburg player of the month
Zambian midfield ace Enock Mwepu has been nominated for his club, Redbull Salzburg’s player of the month for March.
The Zambian midfielder is up against Rasmus Kristensen, Antoine Bernede, and goalkeeper Cican Stankovic for the accolade.
Mwepu started the month with two goals and an assist in the huge cup semi-final match against Sturm Graz. Without losing any of his tough tacklings or forward drive, the Zambian showed he can certainly finish too.
He scored again the following weekend against SKN. The tireless midfielder began all four matches.
The Dane, Kristensen has been nominated for the fourth time in a row thanks to his great shifts with two assists and, a goal. For Bernede, had an incredible 97.2% of his passes find a team-mate when Salzburg played Admira.
Stankovic on the other hand kept two clean sheets in March and only conceded two goals, the least goals he has conceded in any calendar month this season apart from January.
