MWAPE NAMES FINAL 20-MEMBER COPPER QUEENS SQUAD… TEAM TO TRAVEL TO SOUTH AFRICA FOR A CAMP TOMORROW
Zambia Women’s national team head coach Bruce Mwape has named a final 20-member squad ahead of the March 5 Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games final round first leg qualifier against Cameroon in Yaounde.
Midfield ace Ireen ‘Xavi’ Lungu who missed the Qualifiers up to the stage due to injury and military training has made the final squad as a new inclusion together with Fikile Xhosa.
Star forward Barbara Banda who plies her trade in China will link up with the team tomorrow in South Africa.
The team will travel to Pretoria tomorrow (Wednesday) where they will be set-up camp until March 1 when they travel to Yaounde, FAZ media confirmed to the ZamFoot Crew.
Zambia will host Cameroon on March 10 in the return leg with the winner qualifying for the Olympics. The losing side faces South American side Chile in a play-off for the last chance at qualification.
