Mufulira Wanderers appoint Tenant Chilumba as coach

Mufulira Wanderers have hired former Power Dynamos coach Tenant Chilumba to replace Manfred Chabinga who parted ways with the club.

Wanderers who ended last season in a staggering 5th position after gaining promotion are struggling to find their fit in 2016 and have so far won only once in 11 games and are in the relegation zone.

In a desperate move to plug the whole left by Chabinga, Wanderers three weeks ago announced that they had hired Egyptian Ahmed Suliman who unfortunately was found to be unqualified to coach a Zambian super division team.

Chilumba who was shown the door two weeks ago by Power Dynamos will now have to quickly find the winning formular to ensure the nine times champions do not go back to the lower divisions.

In other news, bottom placed Mufulira Blackpool have fired their coach Weston Mumba.

Blackpool have gone 11 games without a win drawing six times.

Mumba is the fourth coach to sacked in the super division this season.
