MUBANGA’S PENALTY SENDS NKANA TO THE NEXT ROUND.
The 2018 Barclay’s cup champions Nkana football club played host to UD SONGO Of Mozambique in the second leg of the CAF champions league at kitwe’s Nkana stadium this afternoon.

The kitwe based outfit found relief in the 44th minute through Kelvin mubanga who scored from the penalty spot sending the Nkana fan’s and all sympathisers into joyous celebration and calming any nerves that may have been present prior.
Nkana coach Beston chambeshi made some changes in the form of Ronald kampamba who was replaced by Freddy Tshimenya, another notable substitute was that of Chisamba Lungu who made his debut for Nkana in a competitive match when he came on for Jacob Ngulube.
Asked about the general performance during the post match interview chambeshi said “it was a tough game UD SONGO put up a good fight playing away from home it was not easy for us to penetrate their defense but am happy we came out Victors”
Going forward, Nkana will be hoping to re-write continental history after having a poor outing in the 2018 campaign.
