MTN Super League: Wins for ZESCO, Eagles, MUZA, Wanderers and Arrows

As the continent prepared to welcome the biggest football showpiece, The Africa Cup of Nations, The MTN Super League also entered week 20 of action on Saturday.

Log leaders ZESCO United returned to winning ways while Red Arrows made it four wins in a row.

Mufulira Wanderers ended their seven match winless run as they beat Kabwe Warriors while FC MUZA and Green Eagles also recorded wins.

In Ndola, ZESCO United saw off Nkwazi thanks to goals from Abraham Siankombo and Lazarus Kambole.

ZESCO maintain top spot while Nkwazi have now lost their last three games as they started their life after Oswald Mutapa on a bad note.

Staying on the Copperbelt, FC MUZA recorded a vital 1-0 away win.

Chipo Sondashi’s first half headed goal was enough to hand the Elegant Dynamites maximum points at the expense of Mutondo Stars.

At Nkoloma Stadium, goals from Ricky Banda and Edward Mwenya handed Red Arrows a comfortable 2-0 win over Forest Rangers.

The win means the Airmen continue to put pressure on log leaders ZESCO United with only a point separating the two.

At Arthur Davies Stadium, Derrick Bulaya scored a brace to guide Green Eagles to a 2-0 win over Nkana.

The win takes Alex Namazaba’s men to fourth place with 32 points.

At the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium, A first half masterpiece by Mufulira Wanderers gave them a hard fought win over Kabwe Warriors.

Goals from Bwembya Kakungu, Evans Chisenga, and Clive Biyeta had the legendary Cup fighters 3-0 up within 30 minutes.

Ocean Mushure pulled two goals back in the 40th minute and 90th minute but it was a little too late as Wanderers held on to win the match.

Meanwhile Green Buffaloes came from a goal down to hold Prison Leopards at Edwin Imboela Stadium.
