Mavugo, Muwowo & Zikuru end season as top scorers
Napsa Stars striker Laudit Mavugo finished the season as a joint top scorer with two other players in his debut season in the MTN Super League.
The Burundian hitman ended the campaign with 10 goals.
Mavugo is joined by Forest Rangers duo Austin Muwowo and Zikuru Adams.
Muwowo and Zikuru were responsible for 20 of the 27 goals Forest Rangers scored in the just ended MTN Super League.
The trio featured for sides from Stream B.
Lusaka Dynamos striker Chrispine Mugalu was top scorer in Stream A with 9 goals while the quartet Zanaco duo Rodger Kola and Rusike Tafadzwa, and Zesco United’s Jesse Were and Lazarous Kambole were tied on 8 goals.
On 7 goals, Biston Banda and Emmanuel Chabula of Circuit City and Nkwazi respectively ended the campaign on that tally from Stream B.
Bruce Musakanya and Chitiya Mususu of Red Arrows and Zanaco also had 7 goals.
In addition to the 7 goals, Chitiya has been the king of assists with 8.
Green Eagles’ Tapson Kaseba who ended last season with 18 goals, only managed 5 this campaign while veteran winger Simon Bwalya was Nkana’s top scorer ahead of Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba and Walter Bwalya who has had a injury ravaged campaign.
