Striker Marcel Zimba has joined Bulgarian Premier League side Botev Plovdiv on a term deal.
The 18 year old signed a 4 year deal.
The highly rated youngster came through the ranks at Zambian Super League side Atletico Lusaka.
Before sealing his move to Botev Plovdiv, he was attached to Russian top academy Vista.
Zimba has been capped at Under-17 level.
The Arakan Barracks born and bred youngster was quick to pay tribute to his mother.
“I am thrilled to join Botev. This is a tribute to my late mother. I want to express my gratitude to Athletico Lusaka for shaping my football career and to my agent, Nir Karin, for facilitating this transfer,” he said.
His move to Eastern Europe has been brokered by Israeli agent Nir Karin.
“I am delighted for Zimba. He is a mentally strong and mature individual who inspires me. I am confident he will excel.
“His success both in domestic leagues and international tournaments (U20/23 and senior Chipolopolo teams) will solely depend on his hard work, discipline, learning, and improvement. The role of his current or future agent is irrelevant in this achievement.”
