Mangani Banda and the list of players that need moves away from their clubs

It is always a risk for players to change clubs especially when the league is almost halfway but the idea of having more game time is cardinal for every professional football player as such life risks are very important as they can be life-changing situations.

Let’s take a look at some big and potential names that graced the Zambian Superleague and may now need a fresh start for game time.

Moses Mapulanga

The Former Nakambala Leopards goalkeeper has struggled for a spot in the Nkana team despite making it in several matchday squads. Moses made a name for himself while at Nakambala making some spectacular saves for the sweet boys despite the team being relegation specialist and earned himself a move to the 13-time champions of the Zambian Super League Nkana Football Club.

Certainly, if he wants to don the National colors any time soon a move away from Chilata be it permanent or a loan needs to be made for more game time. With his contract coming to an end this January with Aba Red.

Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba

The Landlord Of Nkana has been faithfully collecting rents when due for Kalampa for over a decade now. He has scored vital goals for the team both in the domestic league and continental football.

After the departure of Walter Bwalya a little of Jubilee ‘Kalubula’ was seen until the arrival of Idris Mbombo returned him to the bench and at times out of the matchday Squad. The striker with a unique assassin type of play has failed to cement a place in the team.

A player of such caliber can still be an asset for other teams with striking options but what’s key is convincing him to leave a team he has played for most of his career, Probably not the best ideal with Nkana out of strikers the landlord may just stay as he is beginning to see game time under Kelvin Kaindu.

Mangani Banda.

The former Zambia under -20 goalkeeper, disadvantaged by his height but talk of commanding his back 4 defenders he is spot on and good foot deliveries, reflexes, and positioning.

Despite the departure of Toaster Nsabata the former U-20 Keeper is still not a favorite to stand in between the goalposts for the bankers and that’s a threat to his form especially that he is likely the first choice for the under 23 national team but may eventually even lose his place to players like Lameck Siame, Jackson Kakunta, and Charles Muntanga. A New Club? that wouldn’t hurt.

Solomon Sakala

The Zesco defender has been out of action for a couple of games, hardly plays especially with the partnership of Clement Mwape and Adrian Chama seemingly working for Zega Mambo, the lad seems not to be wearing that Zesco shirt soon especially with Marcel kalonda also warming the bench.

Football depends mostly on exposure and game time which also helps with personal improvement and that’s one aspect the former under 20 captains is lacking currently.

Moses Nyondo

He was rock solid during his time at the under 20 national team that reached the world cup quarter-finals with key performance and played a huge role. The lad has however failed to break through the Nkana defense line missing a good number of games and not even making it into the matchday team. A switch of camps even on loan can help the uprising star to gain his form for progress in his career.

Emmanuel Habasimbi

Elite faithful, been with the team for a couple of seasons. Despite been hit by injury Emmanuel has seen the bench more than he has kicked the ball with the arrival of Botswana International Midfielder Mothusi Cooper life won’t be easy for the mazabuka born midfielder.

A move away from Lusaka Dynamos even within the same city can help him regain that form.
