AsaThe Football Association Of Zambia(FAZ) Women’s League Lusaka Region enters week 13 this weekend with a number of interesting mouthwatering encounters expected to take center stage in 7 venues across Lusaka Province.

Four games will be played on Saturday 7th March 2020 while 3 have been moved to Sunday 8th March 2020 due to the ongoing Coca-Cola School Cup Games with Bauleni United and Red Arrows game being postponed owing to a number of players contributed by BUSA to the Zambia Women’s Under-17 National Team who are currently in Camp preparing for their return match against South Africa next weekend.

Defending Champions Green Buffaloes who were handed 3 points last weekend at the expense of Lusaka Queens will travel to Olympia Secondary School Grounds to face Mapani Queens which is one of the struggling new teams in the League who only have recorded 1 victory this season going into this match.

Mapani will have to Brace themselves and be ready to contain the Zambia Army-sponsored side who are yet to record a defeat in the league and would want to maintain their unbeaten when they battle Mapani this morning in a 10:00hrs Kick-off time.

Elsewhere, Nkwazi will be at home taking on Cabana Stars who will be bubbling with confidence coming from a 2-0 win over Mapani last week and may want to carry on their momentum but they will have to overcome a stern test from High Flying Nkwazi who are also coming from a similar scoreline victory edging Football Chance and would want to give their home fans an early Youth Day Celebration victory at Chibolya Community Grounds.

Weeping girls of the league Lusaka Queens who failed to travel to Arakan Barracks last weekend will have a home date in Chilanga against Kafue Celtic Queens who will want to redeem themselves having been humiliated 4-0 by Green Eagles in a disappointing home loss in a Week 12 Match.

Lusaka Queens are still searching for their first victory of the 2019/20 season which has proved so difficult for them and coming up against Coach Zizwatchi Mseteka drilled lasses is another toll order for them to collect maximum points but they will fight for a positive result.

National Assembly will travel to the north at Olympia Africa Grounds as they seek to bag all three points against Garden Youth who will have all to play for considering the fact that they lost 2-0 to Luyando in their previous game and would want to return back to winning ways against the Parliamentarians who feel they have what it takes to travel back home with 3 points but will have to prove their worth away from home to conclude Saturday fixtures.

The action will continue on Sunday with 3 games lined up, Makeni Grounds will host an entertaining match involving Green Eagles who will be welcoming Luyando Foundation which has drawn a lot of people’s support because of their style of play and of course their mesmerizing captain Susan Evaline Katongo who is also Zambia Women’s Under-20 midfielder who is the fans favorite and a marvel to watch but Eagles will have to fight a great battle if they are to pocket the much-needed points especially that they will be playing at home and will rely on the services of Amira Njobvu, Natasha Nanyangwe, and Sharon Nampemba to score goals for them while Coach Bernard Mwape Chisenga will hope Susan Evarine Katongo and Matilda Muluka will come to the party to wrap up Saturday matches.

In Mtendere, Stubborn Yasa Queens will be at home in a tricky match against Pataaki who succumbed to a 4-nil home loss in the hands of Red Arrows and would want to get back on their feet when they face the Hellen Kaunda based side who are having a great season.

Coach Mervis Nachinga will rely on the availability of their goal Poacher Christine Nyirongo in the absence of Florence Kasonde and Botswana Women’s National Team Midfielder Thanda Onneila Mogkabo to inspire the team to victory but they would have to stop a lethal Pauline Zulu who has 5 goals to her name while Inonge Muyamwa has managed to find the back of the net 4 times for Pataaki this season so underrating them will be at their own risk because they can spring out a surprise, however, Yasa stand a better chance of winning to maintain their title race in a 15:00hrs Kick-off at Mahatma Gandhi Grounds.

Having lost 2-0 at Home to Nkwazi Queens last weekend, Football Chance will on Sunday afternoon take a long journey from NRDC to Chilanga to lock horns with Progress Sports Club at Mt. Makulu Secondary School Grounds in a fair game with both sides having an equal opportunity of grabbing positive results.

Bauleni United were scheduled to play against Red Arrows at home but this match has been postponed owing to the fact that BUSA Queens have contributed a number of players to the Zambia Women’s Under-17 National Team who are in Camp preparing for the India 2020 FIFA Women’s Under-17 World Cup Qualifier return match against South Africa away in Johannesburg on 14th March 2020.
