Lumwana Radiants suspend Patrick Phiri… As they put Chris Munthali in the caretaker role
Zambia Super League side Lumwana Radiants has suspended their technical bench with immediate effect.
According to a press statement by Club Secretary Paul Mkandawire made available to the ZamFoot Crew, The decision was taken after an emergency Executive Committee meeting held on Wednesday owing to the club’s poor results so far this season.
The Club has since appointed former Nkana defender Christopher Munthali as the caretaker coach. Munthali will be assisted by goalkeeper Alain Katembwe Ngeleka and Sports Development officer under Lumwana Property Development Company Victor Mwila.
” The decision has been necessitated by the poor performance of the club since the opening of the season against the set target. Mr. Munthali’s first assignment will be to manage the upcoming game against Buidcon FC in Ndola.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish our interim technical bench all the very best.”
Lumwana Radiants will be aware to Buildcon on Sunday which will mark the start of Munthali’s interim reign as coach of the Uranium Boys. After five games Lumwana Radiants have four points and yet to win a match.
