Luchanga withdraws his case at FAZ, returns to Lusaka Dynamos

2017 U20 AFCON winner Conlyde Luchanga has been the centre of discussion in Zambian football circles today after a story came out that he had gone AWOL at Power dynamos after signing a contract with the Kitwe giants.

According today’s local papers Luchanga signed a two year deal with Power Dynamos but has been away from training in the last three days after asking for permission to go and meet his manager in Lusaka.

“Luchanga requested for permission to travel to Lusaka to meet his manager some two days ago. We were supposed to have him back in training yesterday (Wednesday) as per agreement but we have not heard from him. It looks like he is nowhere to be seen. This is bad, He has not communicated about his whereabouts,” Power Dynamos CEO Happy Munkondya is quoted to have told the Zambia Daily Mail.

However the ZamFoot Crew can reveal that the Power Dynamos contract could not come into effect as the player remained a Lusaka dynamos player after withdrawing his case against Lusaka Dynamos with the Football Association of Zambia.

Luchanga’s contract could only come into effect if his case had gone ahead and the player status and transfer committee cleared him as a free agent after his resignation at Lusaka Dynamos.

According to a letter obtained by the ZamFoot Crew, the young forward withdrew his contract termination case against Lusaka Dynamos with FAZ and has since returned to the club. It is reported that the player also received a signing on fee at Arthur Davies Stadium which he is suppose to pay back since he has returned to his parent club.

A number of players including star striker Chris Mugalu who had reportedly dumped Lusaka Dynamos have returned to training after they were cleared their dues by the club.

  1. Dynamite says:

Zambian players never learn. Regardless of him withdrawing the case the fact is he signed a deal with Power & by law a contract is a legal document. Unless Lunchanga & Lusaka Dynamos can come to some form of settlement plan with Power, Lunchanga will get into trouble very soon

  2. Hyson chimayi says:

Luchanga will soon be like Fwayo Tembo he has been from club to the other, this is the second time at power. What’s wrong with Zambian players?FAZ is also useless why condone such nonsense? Advise Luchanga already there are question marks over his fitness. Shame.
