Legendary captain mixing it up with the big boys in Ivory Coast

Former Chipolopolo Boys skipper Chris Katongo was at the CAF Gala night on Friday which was hosted by CAF President Patrice Motsepe.

The 2012 BBC African Player of the Year was spotted with the likes Didier Drogba, Jay Jay Okocha, Daniel Amokachi and Emmanuel Adebayor.

Katongo is one of the 24 legends in Ivory Coast at the invitation of CAF to grace the 34th edition of African Cup of Nations.

The former Butondo, Forest Rangers and Green Buffaloes player led Zambia to the AFCON glory in 2012.

He finished the tournament as a joint top scorer with Emmanuel Mayuka and Drogba.

He was also named the 2012 AFCON Player of the tournament.

The former Brondby and Jomo Cosmos forward is currently Forest Rangers physical trainer
