Lameck Banda assists in US Lecce narrow win

Chipolopolo winger Lameck Banda set up the only goal of the game to help US Lecce to a 1-0  win over Verona.

Banda’s beautiful cross found Danish striker Patrick Dorgu unmarked in the 18 yard area as he headed home from close range.

The first assistant flagged it for offside but after a VAR review the goal was given to put the hosts in the lead.

Lecce held on to win the match ending a seven match winless run.

The Zambian international put in a 73 minute shift.  Banda has now played the last three games for US Lecce.

Banda missed the back to back AFCON qualifiers against Chad due to injury but with his return Avram Grant is expected to have the former Nkwazi player for the November FIFA window.
