Kola returns as Chiyangi summons 27 for Eswatini showdown

Sensational Zanaco striker Roger Kola has been handed a call up to the National team by stand in coach Aggrey Chiyangi ahead of the African Nations Championship (CHAN) first leg final round qualifier against eSwatini on September 21st.

Kola has not been a regular at  national team in over two years but returns to boost Chiyangi’s attacking options. Chiyangi has summoned 27 players in his Provisional Squad with a final 20 man squad set to be announced later on.

Other notable inclusions are Kelvin Kapumbu from Zanaco, Amity Shamenda From Eagles and Henry Besa from Gomes. Chiyangi has however kept the core of the 2019 COSAFA Cup winning squad.

Team Manager Desmond M’ngawa confirmed in an interview with FAZ media that the all locally based Copper Bullets will regroup on Sunday in Lusaka to kick start preparations.

Zambia plays eSwatini on September 21 away in Manzini before hosting the Sihlangu on October 19.Winner over two legs will qualify to the Cameroon 2020 CHAN in January.

    If only someone offered Walter Bwalya a chance to play in our national colours. Clearly I doubt DRC will ever give him a call up.
