KOLA CAN SEND THE BANKERS TO HISTORIC CONFEDERATION SEMIS
Zanaco football club is not far from making history in the CAF Confederation Cup, the Banker are only 180 minutes away from reaching the semi finals for the very first time in their history and striker Rodger Kola is the man to ensure the Bankers that smooth passage.
Zanaco will be playing Egyptian side Pyramids FC at the Heroes stadium in Lusaka and it is a very tricky encounter playing a club from northern Africa but with the current performance they are putting up since coach Chris Kaunda took charge in January, many are confident that they can shock the continent by beating the much fancied Pyramids.
Zanaco will be banking on their striker Rodger Kola to continue with his fine form in front of the sticks, Kola has so far scored 5 goal in the competition including two braces against FC ESAE of Benin and Cano sport.
Kola has been the main man when it comes to scoring goals this season, he opened his scoring account against Bolton City in the Preliminaries in a 2-1 in Mauritius, then he went on to score a brace in an emphatic 5-1 win over Equatorial Guinea’s Cano Sport at the Heroes Stadium.
Against FC ESAE at home, Ernst Mbewe opened the scoring then Kola wrapped up the match with a brace, in the league he has 11 goals to his name. This shows how much influential and integral he is.
Chitiya Mususu and Charles Zulu are other arsenals the Bankers have, they can as well have the final say in this match, the two wide attackers will need to rediscover their goal scoring boots. Chitiya last scored against Kansanshi Dynamos in a league match and he has now gone 3 games with a goal.
Charles Zulu has been a key player this season, he has not scored a lot of goals but it is his contribution which has mattered the most. He creates chances from the wide area and he is also capable of making defenders toil whole day long.
With the acquisition of Moses Phiri from Buildcon, Zanaco have all what it takes to win the encounter. What matters the most at this stage are goals, the attacker will need to up their game and come to the party.
