Kennedy Mweene’s Sundowns performances impress fans
Chipolopolo goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene has continued to show why he is still the first choice for the Copper Bullets despite not having a lot of game time at his club, Mamelodi Sundowns.
Following an injury sustained by Ugandan goal minder Dennis Onyango, Mweene has been between the sticks in Sundowns last two games and has put up fantastic performances and kept two clean sheets.
Having gone four games without a win the bio-bubble Sundowns needed a win when they met Golden Arrows, Mweene started in goal put up a great performance as the Brazilians walked away 1-0 victors. Next came Kaizer Chiefs and again Kapalaya gave it his all and Sundowns again won the match.
After two great performances, the fans are talking and most of them want him to stay between the sticks ahead of Onyango who they feel has become too comfortable.

The Brazilians fans took to social media to express their satisfaction with Mweene and their wish to have him take over from Onyango as the first choice.
The former Lusaka Dynamos goal minder has been with Sundowns since 2013 and has made 72 appearances for 2016 CAF Champions League winners in the PSL alone.
For Chipolopolo, Mweene has been the first choice since 2004 and has been to six AFCON tournaments winning one, 2012 and he is Zambia’s most capped player, having represented the country 120 times.
