Kazala has arrived at FAZ AGM

FAZ President Andrew Kamanga has kept to its word of allowing expelled Vice President Richard Kazala an opportunity to be heard by the council that voted to expel him last year.

Kazala is currently in the VIP lounge awaiting his day before the council.

The Council is due to vote on his status after he appealed to the International Court of Arbitration.

Earlier in the day, Government Complex is becoming alive with delegates streaming to the venue of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Delegates are being screened by law enforcement officers to ensure at the highly anticipated gathering.

So far a fair number of delegates have arrived at the venue where secretariat staff led by General Secretary Ponga Liwewe and some executive committee members are taking their positions.

Under Article 22 of the FAZ constitution there will only be 138 delegates and 89 votes which is a departure from the old constitution that could provide for over 400 delegates.
