Kamusoko confirms he is close to full fitness
Zesco United’s Zimbabwean midfielder Thabani Kamusoko says he is getting closer to full match fitness.
The former Yanga SC midfielder sustained a terrible leg injury during training that has kept him out of the game for over nine months.
“I am getting closer to doing things like kicking the ball and doing other physical things that I was previously failing to do. I have given myself an ultimatum of four games to get back in shape. I am positive I will be ready to play after that subject to clearance from the team doctors and our physio. I am saying these things because I am confident and I have faith that I will soon get back to full fitness,” Kamusoko told the club’s official website
“I am feeling very strong. At the moment I am working on things like muscle strengthening, flexibility, and endurance.”
“Training with the guys has also been a good motivation for me. Being around the team has made me work extra hard and they are also encouraging me to continue pushing. It is different when one is training alone,” he added.
Kamusoka was also quick to point out that the team is working hard and that may translate into positive results soon.
“We have to keep pushing as a team and get the necessary points. The guys are working very hard in training and I am sure that will translate into positive results.”
Since joining the 8 time Zambia Super League Champions, Kamusoko registered 3 goals in the league and one in the CAF Champions League preliminary round.
