KACHEPA on the Ball: Lusaka Dynamos closing in for Bazo
‘Big Spenders’ Lusaka Dynamos have expressed interest to sign Power Dynamos hitman Alex ‘Bazo’ Ng’onga.
Lusaka Dynamos coach Wedson ‘Wada Wada’ Nyirenda rates Ng’onga highly. The two worked together when Nyirenda was in charge of the Chipolopolo Boys.
The 28-year-old has just returned from a long injury layoff and hasn’t been a regular at Arthur Davies Stadium.
While Power Dynamos coach Perry Mutapa is deeming him surplus, he is considered as a jewel by Wada Wada.
In 2017 after the 2018 World Cup qualifier against Nigeria, Ng’onga received threats from the Chipolopolo fans after he missed a number of goal scoring opportunities.
Despite the wrath from the fans, Wada stood by his man.
“Ng’onga had the best game in Nigeria. From yesterday he has not rested people wanting to get pictures with him, you come back home he’s an enemy of the state,” the former Zambia coach Wedson Nyirenda said.
“What kind of people are we?”
Should he make the move back to the capital city, the burly striker will be hoping to recapture the form which saw him earn a move to Gabon.
Ng’onga will also be replacing Chris Mugalu who has since joined Tanzanian side Simba.
