Janza to play CHAN squad in friendly against Rwanda

The Football Association of Zambia FAZ has announced that Zambia will feature the CHAN team in the international friendly match between Zambia and Rwanda which is slated for the 29th March.

This means that despite the game falling on a FIFA day, the technical bench is not expected to name any foreign players in the team but will work with the local players.

FAZ on Thursday announced that they had clinched a friendly for the national team against Rwanda to be played in Lusaka.

Zambia last played Rwanda in 2009 when they met in the 2010 FIFA World Cup race with Zambia emerging victors with a 0 – 0 away draw and a 1 – 0 win at home.

This will be coach Honour Janza’s first assignment since seeing his team booted out of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in the first round.
