It was a difficult game for us – Agosto boss
Angolan side Premiero De Agosto earned a vital away victory over Green Eagles in the first leg of their CAF Champions League pre-group stage tie played at National Heroes Stadium on Saturday.
Agosto Coach Dragan Jovic described the match as tough despite his side coming out as victors.
“It was what we expected, one difficult game for us but we succeed and scored two goals and that was our aim we created opportunities in the first half we controlled the ball with good ball possession,” he said.
“In the Second half we tried to play the same way but Green eagles made a lot of problems I think that its obviously in the second game we will prepare with the same respect because Green eagles are a very good team the chance for Group Stage for me is still 50/50.”
Coach Jovic added that these results have given his side the much-needed confidence heading into the second tie.
“Every game we play to win and this result has made us more confident for the second game and we wouldn’t change our style of play so in the second game will try to win,” Jovic told the ZamFoot Crew.
Green Eagles will be traveling to Angola for the second leg slated for the 28th of September 2019 which will see the winner in this encounter Book a Spot in the Group Stages of the CAF Champions League while the loser will drop to the second-tier Confederation Cup.
