It is great to be associated with Lusaka Dynamos- Wedson Nyirenda
The newly appointed Lusaka Dynamos head coach who is also a former Zesco United and Zanaco gaffer believes his association with the club is a great one.
Nyirenda who has penned a short term contract with the Lusaka based outfit has pledged to work tirelessly to make sure the team finishes in the best possible position.
The former Baroka FC boss has signed a short-term contract for the remainder of the 2019/2020 with an option to extend his stay next season.
“It is great to be associated with Lusaka Dynamos FC. For the next 3 months, we shall work tirelessly to see that we end this current season in the best position. If everyone works accordingly, and pull in the same direction we can achieve the unthinkable. God will guide us through,” Nyirenda said.
Nyirenda’s last job was at the helm of South African side Baroka FC who he inspired to their first-ever trophy when they beat 10 man Orlando Pirates on post-match penalties to win the 2018 Telkom Knock-out cup, A club he quit in December last year.
In Zambia, his last job was as head coach of the Copper Bullets from January 2017 to May 2018.
During this period, he presided over an impressive 2018 World Cup qualifying campaign that saw Zambia beat Algeria home and away for the first time in over 40 years.
The former Kaizer Chiefs player also took Zambia to the African Nations Championships (CHAN) finals and the COSAFA championships.
