HOW SUPER LEAGUE PLAYERS ARE COPING DURING THIS PERIOD

Many leagues across the globe have been suspended due to the outbreak of the corona virus and the Zambian league has not been spared either.

Players plying their trade in the Zambian Super League and lower Divisions are among the large groups of people in our society affected by this pandemic.

The government has asked everyone to stay indoors and observe preventive measures which are washing your hands frequently and maintaining social distance to prevent the spread of this fatal virus.

Players have jumped on the bandwagon to campaign against COVID 19 by telling fans to stay home by juggling toilet paper, others have used this time doing some personalized training, reflecting and for others this is the best time to be with their families.

While others are trying so hard to find out their other talents outside the field of play just like Lusaka Dynamos winger Craig Abraham who has taken it a step further by showing off his cosmology abilities by doing facial make-up. I am sure Craig must be thinking of opening a beauty shop after hanging his boots.

For Napsa Stars defender Aaron Kabwe it’s time to spend with the family, as they say, time spent with the family is worth every second.

The Kitwe derby gets heated and bloody at times but that can’t stop Nkana striker Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba and Power Dynamos duo Jackson Kakunta and Mukuka Mulenga from training together.

Their rivalry is put behind by sharing training sessions together to maintain high levels of match fitness and keeping up in shape. This is not the time to be divided, during these times we need to hold each other’s hands.

It is time to reflect for Green Buffaloes midfielder Leonard Mulenga. An outing in an isolated area will help you realize where you have gone wrong and what you are doing right, this can help you avoid making the same mistakes. Time alone also gives peace of mind and above all, personal planning is perfectly done when you are alone.
