How Chipolopolo should line-up against Algeria as analysts go for 4-3-3

The Zambia national team on Thursday evening host African Champions Algeria in a must win Africa Cup of Nations qualifier to be played at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.

The Chipolopolo camp has suffered some set backs with Belgium based striker Fashion Sakala pulling out because of injury while defenders Justin Shonga, Tandi Mwape and Zecharia Chilongoshi will miss the match due to suspension.

The ZamFoot Crew requested local analysts to share their thoughts on how the coach Micho should line-up his squad

Patson Kawewe – Lusaka (4 3 3)

Allan Chibwe did well at CHAN and there is need to be consistent in goal as the Chipolopolo look to get the next number one after Kennedy Mweene. On that score he gets the nod ahead of Cyril Chibwe. After the performances at CHAN, Adrian Chama earned the right to have his name as the first one on the team sheet in defense and he should partner Kabaso Chongo. Nathan Sinkala should be play the defensive midfield role while Enock Mwepu should play box to box with Clatous Chama providing the creativity from deep.

Allan Chibwe (GK) – Clement Mwape (RB), Adrian Chama (CB), Kabaso Chongo (CB), Rodrick Kabwe (LB) – 6. Nathan Sinkala (DM), Clatous Chama (AM), Enock Mwepu (CM) – Lubambo Musonda (RW), Patson Daka (ST), Augustine Mulenga (LW)

Isaac Kasangula – Ndola (4 4 2 Diamond)

Micho should play the players to their strengths and should set out the boys in a typical 4 4 2 diamond formation. With the Algerians likely to play with speed when coming in attack especially on the wings, Adrian Chama should man the right back position while there does not seem to be competition for for Rodrick Kabwe at left back. Nathan Sinkala should play at the base of the diamond, Enock Mwepu and Lubambo Musonda on either side while Clatous Chama should be at the tip of the diamond with Augustine Mulenga and Patson Daka play as twin strikers in attack.

Allan Chibwe (Gk) – Adrian Chama (RB), Kabaso Chongo (CB), Clement Mwape (CB), Rodrick Kabwe (LB) – Nathan Sinkala (DM), Enock Mwepu (CM), Lubambo Musonda (CM), Clatous Chama (AM) – Augustine Muenga (LS), Patson Daka (RS)

Mukanda Mutale – Lusaka (4 3 3)

Cyril Chibwe showed class the last time he played for Chipolopolo and should start ahead of Allan Chibwe. There is no room for error in this game and Kabaso Chongo seems to be error prone so he should play at right back while the Adrian Chama and Kabaso Chongo  should continue the CHAN tournament partnership. Nathan Sinkala should provide the launch pad for the attacks while Enock Mwepu and Clatous Chama will provide the creativity in the engine room.

Cyril Chibwe (Gk) – Kabaso Chongo (RB), Adrian Chama (CB), Luka Banda (CB), Rodrick Kabwe (LB) – Nathan Sinkala (DM), Enock Mwepu (CM), Clatous Chama (CM) – Augustine Mulenga (LW), Patson Daka (ST), Lubambo Musonda (RW)
