ABSA CUP: He is an agent and not a coach – Bakala blasts ‘talkative’ Balanga
Lusaka Dynamos assistant coach Ian Bakala did not hold back as he went in on his counterpart after his side eliminated Prison Leopards from the 2021 ABSA Cup at Woodlands Stadium.
Bakala was not shy to described Prison Leopards boss Ishmael Balanga as a talkative agent masquerading as a coach. He was happy that his team won because Balanga was too talkative.
“I think am very happy because their coach was talking too much. The way I know him he is an agent he is not a coach but I was surprised that he is the coach for Prison Leopards. This has given us confidence going into the league, we are ready for any team coming our way,” he said.
In the league, Lusaka Dynamos were handed a 4-2 defeat in December but Bakala feels the bad state of the pitch and the rains help the Collect Boys.
” Well, the way it is a cup is a gamble but the way I have seen teams playing we are capable of taking it,” he said.
“We lacked a lot of confidence in the last zone, Our strikers need a lot of confidence, we just have to work on it.”
” It’s so sweet because in Kabwe they beat us, we played better than them but they were helped by the rains,” he added.
Lusaka Dynamos have qualified to the semifinals of the ABSA Cup after they beat Prison Leopards 3-1 on post-match penalties following a 1-1 draw in regulation time.
Lusaka Dynamos were the first to strike in the eleventh after Brian Sinkamba was unfortunate to head Ocean Mushure’s corner into his net. Tshite Mweshi however leveled matters in the 33rd minute with a brilliant low shot after receiving a good pass from David Obash.
During the spot kicks, David Obash, Junior Zulu, and Tshite Mweshi missed the penalties for the Collect Boys while Tady Eketiama, Emmanuel Chabula, and Collins Sikombe scored for Lusaka Dynamos.
