Zambia Women’s coach Nora Häuptle wants her players to focus more on themselves than on what Namibia will offer.
The Copper Queens will face Namibia next month in the 2026 TotalEnergies Morocco 2026 CAF Women Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Namibia.
“So for me it is nothing new, we know about their qualities. They have two or three good players, we are aware of it, but basically we focus on us,” the Swiss born coach said
“Panono, panono we say. First, let us focus on this qualifier. We always do our first job well and when it is done [we qualify], then we also look forward,”

“Our international players from the US and China will probably arrive on Monday and Tuesday. That will be a lot of time, but we will use this one to put sessions before. Namibia, I know very well, because with Ghana, I kicked them out in the last qualifiers.
The October 22 away match to Namibia will be played at Dobsonville Stadium in South Africa, as Namibia currently has no FIFA approved stadium.
Zambia will host Namibia four days later in the final leg at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
The winner over two legs will qualify to the Morocco 2026 CAF Women Africa Cup of Nations which takes place in March and will be a qualification tournament for the 2027 FIFA Women World Cup.
