Häuptle game for the final clash against DR Congo

Nora Häuptle has urged the Copper Queens to focus ahead of Saturday’s WAFCON 2024 group A clash against neighbours DR Congo.

Kick-off will be 21h00 at the El Bachir stadium in Mohammedia.

Zambia need to avoid defeat to qualify to the quarter finals.

The Southern African powerhouse are level on 4 points with Morocco with Senegal on 3 points.

DR Congo have been eliminated following back to back defeats to Senegal and Morocco.

“Now I think DR Congo is a bit mixed. They have a bit of a mixture with some technical players inside,” Häuptle said

“We expect them to do a good job. They should also be prepared for us.

“This is still a big game, it’s going to be the final clash of the group,” she added.

Häuptle was also quick to highlight the team’s evolution at the tournament..

“We are ready. We have been able to observe the performance from the two games. We went from a very technical approach in Morocco to a very physical approach in Senegal.

“We are not calculating too much. We just keep growing, focus on our KPIs and adjust where necessary. We are very focused in our process,” the Swiss said.
