Full house in Copper Queens camp as Barbara Banda jets in

Spain-based Zambia Women’s national team forward Barbara Banda has arrived in the country and will travel with the team tonight to Nairobi ahead of the Women’s Olympic Football 2020 Tokyo Tournament first leg.

Banda was the last piece of the puzzle for the Coach Bruce Mwape tutored side after Kazakhstan based duo of Rachael Kundanaji and Misozi Zulu arrived in Lusaka this morning following their UEFA Women’s Champions League outing with their team – BIIK Kazhyghurt.

The Copper Queens are traveling in good time so that the team can gel together ahead of the Friday match as the team will have two days in Nairobi, before the match with the Harambee Starlets.

The Copper Queens will host the Harambee Starlets in a return leg on Monday scheduled for Nkoloma Stadium at 15:00hrs. The winner between Zambia and Kenya will join the winner between Cameroon and Ivory Coast in the final qualifying round.

The runner up will play Chile in a two-legged playoff as their ticket to the Olympics while the Champion will automatically qualify to Tokyo.
