FC Barcelona Legends to visit Victoria Falls

FC Barcelona Legends will visit Zambia’s tourist capital Livingstone on Friday after their highly anticipated exhibition match against the Zambian Legends (class of 2012). 

With the match anchored on exposing Zambia as a tourist destination by the Ministry of Tourism, the visit to the Victoria Falls among other tourist attractions in the City will provide the much needed visibility. 

FC Barcelona legends will face the 2012 AFCON winners on Thursday at Lusaka’s National Heroes Stadium. 

The class of 2012 had a practice match on Tuesday morning against the 2015 COSAFA Winners team called Big 5

Joseph Musonda showed some serious fitness in the match together with the 1988 African footballer of the year Kalusha Bwalya who was the darling of the crowd at Toyota Arena. 

Emmanuel Mayuka, Chisamba Lungu, Collins Mbesuma and Davies Nkausu showed some flashes of brilliance while Clifford Mulenga, James Chamanga and the master Rainford Kalaba were in tip top form as expected. 

Barcelona Legends coach Albert Llopis Ferrer will carry an eighteen member  FC Barcelona Legends squad that will come to Zambia for the match. 

Most notably Ronaldo de Asis Moreira popularly known as Ronaldinho, Holland legend Patrick Stephan Kluivert, and Argentine Javier Saviola.

The FC Barcelona Legends will also have an official training session on 24th of May open to the public just hours after jetting in. 

Tickets for the match are currently on sale in all ShopRite stores countrywide via Computicketing.

The match is set for 25th of May, 2023 at the National Heroes Stadium, kick off -15:00 hrs, Gates will open at 10:00 hrs.
