FAZ confirm Lusaka Dynamos Women’s Super Division status
The newly formed Lusaka Dynamos Ladies Football Club will compete in the FAZ Women’s Super Division, The ZamFoot Crew can exclusively reveal.
Lusaka Dynamos Ladies becomes the first confirmed side for the newly launched Women’s Super League set to begin late next month or early November.
According to a letter dated Wednesday, 30th September, from Football house, Lusaka Dynamos application to compete in the Women’s Super League has been accepted by the Country’s football governing body.
“In reference to your application for Lusaka Dynamos (Women) to join the FAZ Women’s Super Division for the 2020/2021 season, we are pleased to inform you that your Women football club has been accepted to join this aforesaid league.
You shall be informed of further documentation and clarification on the league when ready.”
The ZamFoot Crew understands that the national women’s league will have 12 teams instead of eight as earlier reported.
The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) last month announced that it had started the process of introducing an eight-team Women National Super League. Currently, Zambia has running leagues in four provinces namely Lusaka, Copperbelt, Central, and North Western.
