Zambian Super League side Napsa Stars are set to interview two coaches after head coach Linos Makwaza was put on gardening leave.
Egyptian born born coach Mohammad Fathy and Elijah Chikwanda have made the final list for then interviews.
The ZamFoot Crew can exclusively reveal that Napsa tried to lure Tenant Chembo to Lusaka over the weekend.
“Chembo met with the executive but it was a bit too late as he already had discussions with Buildcon prior to the meeting,” a ZamFoot Crew insider in Ndola said.
With eyes now set on either Chikwanda or Fathy, the pensioners will hope they will get their man before the weekend.
Chikwanda has had spells with Nkwazi and Kabwe Warriors while the ‘Pharoah’ spent last season as Technical Director at Lusaka Dynamos.
With Makwaza and his two assistants Harry Milanzi and Dabwitso Nkhoma sidelined, Donewell Yobe is now in charge.
Napsa has just collected a point from a possible 15.
The Zambia league is not different from the EPL where recycling of coaches is the order of the day with the exception of Arsenal FC who do not have it in their vocabulary. Well that aside, Makwaza during the off season had actually indicated that he has captured better players than he had last season therefore i would say “malibu yakuilombela”.All best to the recycled coaches as they attempt their luck at their new clubs in the league.
