Fathi describes Napsa Stars CAF Confed Cup draw as fair…Targets reaching the group stage
Napsa stars head coach Mohamed Fathi has described his teams’ CAF confederation draw as fair and says he is aiming to reach the group stage.
The Pensioners who will be mailing a maiden appearance in the Competition were drawn against Ngazi Sport de Mirontsy in the first preliminary round of the 2020/2021 CAF Confederation Cup.
Fathi has however emphasized that Ngazi should not be underrated as they are no easy games in the CAF Inter-clubs competitions.
“I think it’s a fair draw, we just need to focus because there is no easy game in CAF. Am confident we will reach the group stage,” he said.
” There is no walkover, we have to work hard to get what we want, be it at CAF or local league.”
“I expected we would travel a long distance in the first game but it won’t affect our players,” he added.
The first legs of the Preliminary round will take place between 27th and 29th November while the return legs will be played between 4th to 6th December.
