Enock Mwepu and Patson Daka linked with a move to Arsenal
Zambian hot duo of striker Patson Daka and midfielder Enock Mwepu are subject of transfer speculation and rumors as they are linked with moves to the English Premier League.
Patson Daka who has previously been linked with moves to AC Milan, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspurs is now viewed as a possible replacement for the Gunners French striker Alexander Lacazette who is now in the final 18 months of his contract at the Emirates Stadium and his future remains unclear.
Several publications have reported Arsenal’s interest in Patson Daka. The speculation have grown even further following Daka’s interview with BBC where he talked about wanting to make it like Sadio Mane and Emerick Aubameyang and Mohammed Salah.
“To see our big brothers like (Pierre-Emerick) Aubameyang, (Mohamed) Salah, (Sadio) Mane, it’s something that gives me the dream that I can also make it,” Daka told the BBC.
“I can be like them. They are my inspiration, knowing that they also come from Africa.
“I think when people are making that kind of comparisons, it’s great, looking at the status of Sadio Mane, the kind of football he plays, and the kind of person that he is.”
His team-mate at Redbull Salzburg and also Chipolopolo star player, Midfielder is now reportedly being looked at as a cheaper alternative to other targets such as Brighton’s Yves Bissouma to solve their midfield problems. Arsenal believes £12 million will be enough to land the Computers’ services.
Mwepu has become a key player since Marsch’s appointment in 2019, scoring five goals and assisting a further seven across 36 games in all competitions last season. That has been followed up with three goals and four assists in 21 appearances in the 2020/21 campaign.
Arsenal have added RB Salzburg’s Enock Mwepu to their list of midfield targets. The 23-year-old has been deployed as both a holding & box-to-box midfielder, with his versatility & potential key to the Gunners’ interest. [@GoonerFanzine exclusive] #afc https://t.co/9rp18REXGE

The Gooner understands that the 23-year-old’s Champions League displays have helped draw the attention of Arsenal after he recorded an assist in an impressive display against Liverpool last season, while no player applied more pressure than his 165 in the competition this campaign.
Patson on the other hand is Salzburg’s main striker and has already notched up 15 goals and assisted five times in 17 appearances in all competitions so far this season. Last season Daka scored an impressive 24 in the league alone.
Following 🔴 @Arsenal's shaky start to the season, the Gunners have started looking to the future with @FCRBS_en's Patson Daka and @CelticFC's Odsonne Edouard to boost their firepower. 🔥🔥🔥https://t.co/6s8HH81Fbb
