Emmanuel Banda named in Swedish Allvenskan match day 16 team of the week
Zambian midfield general Emmanuel Banda has been named in the Swedish Allsvenskan team of the week for matchday 16 following his brilliant performance on Saturday.
The former Nchanga Rangers midfield ace put in a fantastic 80-minute shift and also scored his first goal for the Kim Bergstrand tutored outfit. Banda headed in Aslak Finn Witry’s corner to put the Stockholms stolthet 1-0 up in their 3-0 win over Örebro.
Banda is not the only Djurgadens player in the team as he is accompanied by defenders Jesper Nyholm and Aslak Fonn Witry.
Guinean goalkeeper Aly Keita who kept a clean sheet for Östersunds FK in their 2-0 win over Kalmar and teammate Isak Ssewankambo were also named in the team.
IF Elfsborg’s goal machine Per Frick and IFK Norrköping duo of forward Pontus Almqvist and Icelandic midfielder Ísak Bergmann Jóhannesson also made the cut. The rest are Johan Hammar, Leonard Zuta, and Erik Friberg all of BK Häcken.
