EMMANUEL BANDA CONFIRMS DEPARTURE FROM OOSTENDE
Zambia national team midfielder Emmanuel Banda has confirmed his departure from Belgian side KV Oostende five months before the end of his contract.
The 22-year-old midfielder took to Facebook to confirm that he had terminated his contract with the KustBoys and went on to thank the club for everything.
“Good morning fam, I would love to inform you that I officially terminated my contract with KV Ostend on February 14th,2020.
This decision was arrived at after careful consideration and is meant to help me look for better career options in a bid to get back on track. I wish to thank the just boys for the time we spent together and wish them all the best in the remaining games of the season.”
His next destination is however not yet known but the ZamFoot Crew understands that Banda has already received a number offers.
Banda joined Oostende on 1st July 2017 and penned a 3-year contract with the Belgian Jupiler Pro League side.
The former Nchanga Rangers player was a member of the Zambia team U-20 nation that won the 2017 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations and reached the quarterfinals of the World Cup.
During the Bola na Lesa Boys fantastic run, Banda is remembered for having scored a screamer in the 6-1 humiliation of Mali and the third goal in the 4-2 win over Iran at the World Cup.
